For sure TC works . I have a favorite spot where I often check out TC , difflocks etc (its bad news going out on a trail and discovering that your difflock is rusted tight !)
There is a pic in the Tecno Babble album illustrating the Disco at my favorite spot. If this incline is approached at an angle it is a classic axle twister.
The Defender does not go up - wheels spin ....
The Disco goes up with TC only , and DiffLock disengaged.
With TC and DiffLock it eats it.
With Difflock on and TC off , it spins wheels and goes nowhere ala Defender.
I have tried the Disco at Atlantis dunes , always with Central Difflock on , sometimes with TC on as well .
Contrary to other drivers experience the TC is never a hindrance and sometimes in the sand is very useful ( particularly with axle twisters ) Always in sand the CDL has to be locked.

Re: Traction Control - Does it work ?

Ou Trekpad this weekend past has proven to me that out of many brands and models of 4x4's , the td5 with TC and CDL outperformed and made many axle twisters and mud baths look like a walk in the park. Thumbs up all the way !

Re: Traction Control - Does it work ?

Thanks for the comment Jakes. Some people think I am bs...ing when I say that the TC is excellent. I find that it is best to maintain a steady accelerator input - revs at 1800 and the TC looks after the rest.
