Hi there! August the 20th saw some 22 Land Rovers meeting for a day run through the Atlantis Dunes. The day was perfect weather wise and a BIG thank you to Gurney Blackbeard for leading the Club . This was also my first opportunity to lead a sub section of the Club for the day through the dunes. Gurney asked me to lead the Discovery’s and Range Rovers for the day. Quite an honour! Thank you for the vote of confidence Gurney. Much appreciated. Finally managed to track down a second hand ABS modulator at a very reasonable price through a very good friend. Had it fitted and the fault codes reset on my TC/HDC/ABS. Lasted one week and back to square one! Will be carrying out other tests now from a Land Rover Bulletin. Wish me luck! My daughter just fell in love with the baby quad bikes at the last few outings…thanks Dieter…so I duly went out and robbed a bank and found a baby 50cc quad for her. As long as she’s out there in the fresh air having fun and away from the boys I guess I’m happy! Also welcome to Venessa as our Social Committee Member! Thanks for all your hard work. There has been some discussion at Committee level regarding the restructuring of classes for the Points Events now that more and more vehicles are acquiring traction control. New Defenders now come out with TC as standard and the Disco 2 class is steadily growing. Have some ideas about this? Drop me an email sometime. Take care out there. Go well on your journey. Enjoy your mag and enjoy your Landy! |
