Hi there!

This will be the last magazine with me as Editor! I have done this job for two years now and it’s time for someone else to take over the reigns! Thank you to all those people who have contributed articles over the two years as well as to those members who have always given me support and encouragement. May your oil leaks be minimal and your mileage maximum!

This month sees a report back on the Christmas lunch as well as a report back on Brandvlei. We are sorry to hear that Andrew has moved up to Johannesburg and we take this opportunity to thank him personally for all the hard work he has done in leading the Series guys. Thanks also to Kate, the committee secretary who has also requested to stand down. Go well.

I was stopped by a neighbour the other day outside my flat who drives a Freelander. He wanted to know how to switch off his ABS light which remained illuminated. I just smiled and passed Marius’ cell phone number onto him and said that it wasn’t that simple! He would need a Rovacom laptop and perhaps some serious money as well to prevent it happening again!

Off to do Namibia and Etosha in July. See you in the bush!
