Hi there!

I was once again reminded of the comradeship that occurs between us Landy drivers out in the field. The last Points Event was an awesome time of just that. Whether you were helping someone who was stuck, chatting about the latest modcons or just swapping stories, everybody had a great time sharing something very real and tangible…Land Rover!

A big thank you to all the Committee guys and gals who always help to set up the Points Event course with such dedication and enthusiasm. These events take a great amount of planning and work and do not just simply happen…so well done team.

Apologies to Bossman Pietie for the not so flattering photo of him that I included in the mag last month. It would seem that my IT skills still leave a lot to be desired. When I compressed the photo to fit the page it somehow moved out sideways and so did Pietie’s tummy. Sorry bud!

My traction control is driving me crazy! The control module keeps on disconnecting my TC because of a faulty ABS modulator. Once reset my TC will work for sometimes up to two weeks before kicking out again. I had it reset just before the Points Event and guess what? Just after gate 1 it kicked out! Anyway I proceeded to complete the course using my diff lock only. Result? My vehicle performed just the same in my opinion! I know, I know, I can hear all you Defender guys saying, “I told you so…”
