Hi there!

By the time you read this New Year will be well on its way! May you have a good one!

I managed to persuade the committee to allow me to publish one mag for the Dec/ Jan period. So, from March things will be back to normal.

A sad goodbye to Werner who has resigned from the club as he has gone to work for Thorpe Delta and has had to unfortunately part with his Rangie. A big thank you to him for all the hard work he did in his PRO portfolio. Werner has set a new standard for this function and we wish him and his family well for the future.

I was very privileged recently to assist a dedicated team refit the right wing back onto an early 1960’s BAC Strikemaster air force jet. A wealthy individual had bought it in from the UK and intended flying the jet for his personal use. Why am I telling you this? Well, would you believe that the complete wing is held in situ with only three bolts! Furthermore, these three bolts are only approximately 8 cm long and about 2 cm thick. Once again I became aware of the beauty and precision of British engineering…roll on Land Rover.

This month’s read will give you trail invites, an Editor’s report from Dubai, report backs and much more!

Enjoy your mag and enjoy your Landy!
