So what can still be done ? Diffs upgrade . In particular the Eaton Tru Trac. This is a mechanical torque biasing diff that normally behaves similarly to a friction type LSD. But the mechanical Tru Trac is a lot stronger (stronger also than the standard diff) , and combines very well (according to owner reports ) with traction control . This combination mimics closely the latest Jeep Cherokee drive system ,which is rated a close second to the Terrain Control in the Disco 3. The Tru Trac is also a lot more reliable than an ARB locker , and cheaper. No steeering problems either .
