I have just replaced the injector harness on my 2004 Td5 due to oil etc.as I had had this happen a month before and felt it was inevitable. A small amount of oil had reached the ECU which I cleaned out with contact cleaner. The symptoms experienced before the change, ie jerking, missing etc. did not clear this time. The engine seems fine up to 2500 but will not rev to 3000. If revved hard for 5-10 secs., a small amount of blue-ish smoke is seen then clears. There is no smoking at all at idle and up to 2500. I have cleaned MAP and MAF, turbo purrs and wastegate moves easily. The engine has is rough when going up hill with very little power. Could it be fuel pump related,as I do not hear anything from it? Is there also a fuel transfer pump on Td5s? or could this be ECU related due to cleaning out oil ? Has anyone experienced similar symptoms and what else should I be looking into?
